6 yams
Apples, sliced
2 cups water
1 cup sugar
1/4 lb. butter
1 tsp. salt
4 Tbsp. cornstarch

Directions:
Directions:
Parboil yams for about 20 minutes. Cool, skin and slice alternately with peeled, sliced apples into casserole. Start with apples and end with yams. Cook remaining ingredients in a pan until thick. Pour over yams and apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 - 1 1/2 hours.
