2 T. butter
1/4 t. saffron
1 c. uncooked rice
1 medium onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 can chicken broth plus water to make 2 1/2 cups
8 oz. scallops, halved crosswise
8 oz. peeled and deveined shrimp
1 pkg. (10oz.) frozen peas, partially thawed
1/2 t. each salt and pepper

Melt butter, add saffron, rice, onion, and garlic and sauté for 3 minutes. Pour broth, bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Add scallops, shrimp, and peas. Simmer covered for 5 minutes.
