French Onion Soup Recipe

3 lb. peeled onions
4 oz. butter or margarine
1 1/2 tsp. freshly ground pepper
2 tbsp. paprika
2 bay leaves
3/4 c. all-purpose flour
3 qt. canned beef bouillon
2 tsp. salt
1 c. white wine

Directions:
Directions:
1. Slice onions 1/8 in. thick.
2. Melt butter in large soup pot. Add onions and saute them slowly for 1 1/2 hours.
3. Add all other ingredients, except bouillon. Saute over low heat for 10 min. more.
4. Add bouillon and simmer for 2 hours. Season with salt to taste.
5. Refrigerate overnight.
