1 medium size head of lettuce
1 medium size chopped onion
1 box frozen peas cooked and drained
1 c. chopped celery
2 medium size grated carrots
1 chopped green pepper
1/2 lb bacon, fried and broken up
1 c. grated cheddar cheese
2 c. mayonnaise or alternate dressing

After layering the ingredients, seal to the edges with the top layer of mayonnaise. Seal with saran wrap. Let set in refrigerator overnight. Recipe keeps for 3 or 4 days,
Just before serving, sprinkle 3/4 c. of croutons over the top.
