1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. evaporated milk
2/3 c. water
2 tsp. almond extract
4 2 liter bottles lemon-lime carbonated beverage, chilled
2 half-gal. cartons vanilla ice cream, softened

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar and water in a saucepan; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissovles. Remove from heat. Stir in evaporated milk and almond extract; let cool. Chill until ready to serve.
Combine milk mixture, ice cream and carbonated beverage in a large container just before serving; stir gently to break the ice cream into small pieces. Transfer mixture to a punch bowl.

Be sure to allow at least 2 servings per guest as is soooo good.
This was first served to me at the Lubbock Women's Club. I in turn served it to family and at parties for several years.
