3-4 potatoes (or use as many as you would like to use)
chicken base (*comes in a plastic tub)
3-8oz. pkgs. cream cheese, softened
1 lb. bacon
cornstarch to thicken
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and cut potatoes in cubes. Boil until done. Don't drain. Add 4 or 5 T. of *chicken base to taste.
Add 3-8oz. packages cream cheese, softened (room temperature or zap in microwave). Let melt in potato mixture. Cook bacon until crisp (set aside small amount for topping soup after soup is ready to serve). Add after cream cheese is melted. If too thin add cornstarch and water mixture to thicken. Salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle leftover bacon on soup before serving.

My sister-in-law, Cindy Elmer serves this every year when we get together at her house for our Christmas celebration. Sometimes she changes the recipe a little and adds more vegetables. It tastes great!
