1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 c. butter
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tbsp. honey
1/2 c. flour
2/3 c. chocolate chips
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. quick cooking oats
1/2 c and 2 tbsp. Rice Krispies
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1/2 egg (2 tbsp)
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350º.
Lightly grease and 8 x 8 square pan.
In a large mixing bowl, beat sugars and butter until creamy on a low/medium speed with electric mixer.
Beat in honey, vanilla and egg. Mix well.
In a separate bowl, combine flour, cinnamon, baking powder and salt.
Slowly add flour mixture to cream mixture, using lowest speed of mixer.
With a wooden spoon add oats and Rice Krispies.
Stir in chocolate chips with wooden spoon.
Press firmly in pan.
Bake 15-25 minutes or until edges are lightly golden and center appears set.

This recipe is great for junior high students to practice measuring properly. Raisins can be substituted for the chocolate chips.
