Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 cups Land-o-Lakes Butter
2 cups white granulated sugar
2 cups brown sugar
4 (jumbo) eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
4 cups flour
5 cups oatmeal (powered in food processor or blender)
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder (plus 2 pinches more for softness)
2 tsp. baking soda
2-12 oz. bags Nestle' regular sized semi-sweet morsels (chocolate chips)
7 oz. plain Hershey Milk Chocolate candy bar (grated or processed in food processor).
3 cups chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts). I put them in the food processor also and process them until they are the consistency of a paste or just chop them if you want a crunchier cookie.

Directions:
Directions:
Measure by dip, level and pour flour into a large bowl. Add baking soda, salt and baking powder (don't forget 2 extra pinches of baking powder). Grate candy bar into flour mixture. Mix together with fork or wooden spoon. Powder oatmeal in blender or food processor. Grind nuts in food processor until fine and moist (or if you want a crunchier cookie just chop the nuts). Set bowl aside.
With medium bowl and electric mixer, mix 2 cups butter until creamy and smooth. Add 2 cups brown sugar. Beat until blended. Add 2 cups granulated (white) sugar. Beat until creamy. Add four jumbo eggs to creamed mixture. Beat until fluffy and creamy. Add vanilla and beat until well blended.
Add 2 (12 oz) packages Nestle' semi sweet morsels (chocolate chips) to dry ingredients. Mix with large metal spoon or wooden spoon. Add creamy butter mixture to dry mixture in large bowl, mixing with a heavy spoon or work dough with hands to mix well. Refrigerate for a couple hours or overnight.
To bake cookies:
Preheat oven to 350º.
Make round golf ball sized balls from dough. Place 2" apart on cookie sheet. Bake at 350º for 10-15 minutes (no longer). Cookies will rise and dough may possibly double in width with baking. As cookies are baking prepare the next pan for oven. When cookie is golden with slight browning it is done.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
I usually refrigerate the dough overnight. The cookie dough has less tendency to spread when it is cold.
I like using Land-o-Lakes Butter when I can get it on sale. My father used to hold the box out to us and say "Look at the Indian woman who is holding a box of butter, with a picture of an Indian woman who is holding a box of butter, with a picture of an Indian woman who is holding a box of butter..."
