Ingredients:
Whole chickens (you could also use pieces.)
butter
barbecue salt

Directions:
Directions:
Wash and cut chickens in half. Place in microwave for approx. 30 minutes. This will cook the chicken on the insides.
Melt butter and mix barbecue salt into the melted butter.
Rub into chickens
Put on any charcoal grill. I use a Weber with a lid. You can continue to cook these as slowly as you want to give them a real smoked flavor.
In the comments I will include a website to use to purchase the smoking salt I use.

Personal Notes:
Dave's chicken has always been one of our families favorites. Anyone from our area remembers our local Broiler Festival that used the salt Dave uses. I am submitting the website for the company that sells this salt. Or let us know, we can get it for you.
