Ingredients: Dough
1 pkg regular yeast
1 cup warm water
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
2 1/4 to 3 1/4 cups flour
Fillings/toppings
1 cup tomato sauce
1 can mushrooms
1 tsp dried basil leaves
1 tsp oregano
1 garlic clove crushed
8 oz sliced pepperoni
1 cup mozzarella
1 egg beaten

Directions:Dough
Dissolve yeast in water in 3 qt bowl. Stir in sugar, oil, salt and 1 cup flour. Beat until smooth. Mix enough remaining flour to make dough easy to handle. Turn dough into lightly floured surface. knead until smooth. Place into greased bowl, turn once to cover dough with oil from the bowl. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
Divide dough into 6 pieces. roll each piece into a 7 inch circle. Mix sauce with herbs. Spread desired fillings and sauce into each circle. Fold dough in half and crimp edges. Slice a few vent lines to let the steam out. Brush with beaten egg. Bake 375 degrees for 25 minutes |
