Directions: |
Directions:Cut meats into cubes. Brown in Dutch oven.(I use a little olive oil). Cut celery & onion. Throw about 1/4 of the onion in with the browning meat.I also sprinkle a little soy sauce on the meat...When browned, add undrained bean sprouts & water chestnuts. Can add bamboo shoots also, if you care to. Add @ 2T.bead molasses (or regular molasses). Simmer for @ 1/2 hour, until meat is tender. Saute celery & remaining onion in a little oil.( This keeps them a bit crisper than putting them into the pot with the meat, which you can do if you want to. Add them to the pot. Mix @ 11/2T. cornstarch with 1/4 cup of water. Stir slowly into pot & cook till liquid is thickened into a nice gravy. Serve over hot rice sprinkled with some chow mein noodles. Sprinkle on soy sauce. Enjoy! |
