1 1/2 # bulk pork sausage
1/2 C. chopped onion
1/4 C. chopped green pepper
1 clove garlic, crushed ( I use minced garlic from a jar)
1 16 oz. can diced tomatoes
1 6 oz. can tomato paste
1/2 t. salt
1/8 t. pepper
1/4 t. dried oregano, crushed
8 oz. mostaccioli, cooked & drained
6 oz. sharp process American cheese, shredded (1 1/2 C.)
Note: I have always used Kraft Old English slices & just cut them in half & placed them on the layers. About 8 half slices per layer)

Directions:
Cook sausage, onion, green pepper & garlic until meat is browned & vegetables tender. Drain off excess fat.
Add tomatoes, tomato paste with 1 can of water,salt, pepper & oregano.
Stir in mostaccioli8 & put 1/2 of the mixture into a 2 quart baking dish. Top with 1/2 the cheese. Add remaining mostaciolli mixture.
Bake at 350º for 25 minutes. Top with remaining cheese & bake 5 minutes more.
