3/4 cup cocoa
1 cup margarie, butter or crisco
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 cup chopped nuts, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees, grease 13 x 9 inch pan. Melt shortening and stir in cocoa. Remove from heat and mix in sugar, eggs and vanilla. Mix dry ingredients together. Mix dry ingredient with cocoa mix until smooth, spread into prepared pan. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Brownies will pull away from the sides of the pan when done, do not over bake. After they cool sprinkle with powdered sugar or frost.
