4 c all purpose flour
1 1/3 c warm water ( or as needed)
2 qt. oil for frying

Directions:
Directions:
Put flour in a large bowl, add water gradually until a soft dough is made (it will be a little sticky). Flour hands an knead about 5 mins. until smooth and no longer sticky. Let rest about 10 mins. Divide dough into 8 pieces, flatten each piece until about 1/2 in thick and the size of a lunch plate. Fry dough in about 2-3 ins of oil heated to 375º, turn with tongs to brown both sides. Drain on paper towels, keep warm in paper towels in a 200º oven.
