1 1/2 C margarine or butter
3 1/2 C flour
1 C sugar
1 egg
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
Beat margarine with a mixer on medium for 30 seconds. Add 1 cup of flour, the sugar, egg, baking powder, vanilla and almond extract. Beat until throughly combined. Beat in remaining flour. Force through a cookie press on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 8 to 10 minutes. Edges of the cookie should be firm but not brown.

Use food coloring or decorate with sprinkles depending on the holiday you are celebrating. They are good baked plain with a candied cherry in the middle! My favorite.
