1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg, well beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. walnuts or pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together well the butter, br. sugar, egg, and vanilla. Sift together in another bowl, the flour, cocoa, and baking powder. Mix the two mixtures together and fold in the nuts (nuts optional). Bake in 8" square pan at 300º for 30 to 45 mins. When cool, you can ice with a choc. frosting and decorate.

Seems like not enough flour. The recipe is correct!I make this and it was yummy. Allan brought extra dark cocoa powder! Super yummy!
