3/4 c. sugar

Brown Sugar in skillet ( don't burn ). Then add 1 1/2 c. hot water. This will bubble up, but let cook till sugar is melted. Thicken with flour and water. Add 2-3 Tblsp. canned milk or cream. Little salt to bring out flavor. Add 2-3 Tblsp. butter and 1/4 cup brown sugar. Let cool. Spread on sweet dough. I double this for large coffee cake.
