1 1/2 cups ripe bananas, sliced
1 1/4 cups pureed ripe papaya
1/2 cup sugar
1/8 teaspoon powdered ginger
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons cornstarch
3 tablespoons cold water
1 prepared baked pie shell

Wash ripened papaya and bananas. Peel papaya and cut open. Remove black seed from inside papaya.Cut into small chunks and puree in a blender.

1 Combine pureed papaya, lemon juice, sugar, ginger, cinnamon and salt. Bring to boil then lower to low/medium heat.
2 Mix cornstarch and water to a smooth paste and stir into mixture. Stir until thickened and clear.
3 Cool.
4 Combine with bananas and pour into baked pie shell.
5 Chill. Serve with whipped cream.
