Notes: Kind of a long comment but a family cookbook is all about nostalgia and this recipe brings wonderful memories for me. I first made this for Robert & Anna Marie in our first home in Oak Park, Il ( almost 30 years ago). Anna Marie just fussed and said " You go through so much trouble for us!" They loved it and every time they visited Jerry & me I would make this veggie dish. I prepared this the last time I ever had the joy of cooking for her. It was August 1987. Bless her heart. I renamed it in her honor about 15 years ago.
