4 c. chopped fresh pears
2 c. sugar
3 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
2 beaten eggs
2/3 cup cooking oil
1 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Combine chopped pears and sugar and let stand 1 hour so that pears can make juice.
Sift together all dry ingredients and set aside. After the pears and sugar have sat for the hour, add the beaten eggs, cooking oil and nuts and blend well. Add dry ingredients and mix just untill blended well . Pour into a greased and floured Bundt or 10 inch tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes Remove from oven and cool on wire rack for 10 minutes before removing from pan. Finish cooling on wire rack.
