1/2 c. butter
4 egg yolks, well beaten
1/2 c. boiling water
1 1/2 tbsps. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Melt one-half cup butter in double-boiler. Gradually add to four well-beaten egg yolks, stirring thoroughly. Add one-half cup boiling water gradually. Return to double-boiler. Cook, stirring constantly until thick. Remove from hot water. Slowly add one and one-half tablespoons lemon juice and one-fourth teaspoon salt, stirring constantly. Cover and place over hot water until serving time. Do not return to heat. Makes one and one-third cups.
