1 cup Butter
2 cups sifted flour
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg yolk
1tsp vanilla
1 8oz bar of milk chocolate
1 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar together. Add egg yolk, vanilla and sifted flour. Spread thinly onto a baking sheet using your hands. Bake crust @ 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes until crust is golden brown. While crust is cooking, melt chocolate in microwave. Pour melted chocolate over top of hot crust and spread evenly. Top with chopped nuts.

This was a recipe that our Mamma Scott (John’s grandma on his dad’s side) would make every Christmas. She would make Toffee bars and Lemon bars to enjoy with ice cream topped with raspberry sauce.
