1 c. butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
3 c. oats
1 c.raisins (or 1 sml. bag chocolate chips)
1 c. chopped pecans (optional)
1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, sugar and brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix flour, salt, soda, cinnamon and nutmeg in a separate bowl then add to creamed mixture. Stir in oats. Add either raisins or chocolate chips and pecans is desired. Spoon onto cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees untill light brown (about 10 minutes). Be sure not to over cook--- they may look like they are not quite done when you pull them out of the oven! When storing these cookies, place them in a ziplock baggy or somethig airtight They tend to dry out in a couple of days if not sealed good. They are best when fresh out of the oven!
