4 cups flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup shortening
1 cup sour cream
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
4 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp lemon flavoring

Frosting
2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/2 tsp vanilla
1-2 Tbsp milk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder. Cut in shortening and set aside. In a small bowl, beat sour cream and soda until smooth, set aside. In another small bowl beat eggs until foamy, then add lemon flavoring and vanilla. Now mix all ingredients together. For better handling refrigerate 1-2 hours or overnight is best. Roll out until 1/4" thick, cut with favorite holiday cutters. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375º for 8 mins. Cool on wire racks. Frost and decorate.
