1 c butter
2 c brown sugar
1/2 c karo syrup
1 t salt
1/2 t baking soda
1 t vanilla
6 qt popped popcorn, not the microwave kind
2 c peanuts, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter. Stir in sugar and syrup. Cook on medium heat until boiling, stirring constantly. When boiling don't stir and let cook 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Add soda, salt and vanilla. Pour syrup over popped corn on trays, or the large aluminum roasters work well. (they even clean up nice if you just place them in hot water). Bake at 250º for one hour stirring every 15 minutes. I use a spatula and butter knives.
