2 packs active dry yeast
1/2 cup warm water
4 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup butter
1/2 cup milk (scalded and cooled)
2 eggs (slightly beaten)

Directions:
Directions:
Sprinkle yeast over warm water to dissolve. In large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar and salt. On low speed of mixer, cut in butter until it resembles coarse meal. Combine milk, eggs and dissolved yeast. Add to dry ingredients, mixing thoroughly. Brush with melted butter; cover and chill overnight.
This dough can be used for all types of coffeecakes. Always allow dough to double in volume before baking.
