1 1/2 lbs. cubed lean beef
1 cup dry red wine
4 tbsp vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic minced
2 green peppers,sliced
2 stalks celery, sliced
2 med onions chopped
4 med potatoes, cut in to bite size pieces
3 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
4 tbsp tomato paste
1 bay leaf
1 tsp basil
1/2 cup flour mixed with cold water
3 cups beef broth
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Brown beef in the oil. Add wine, garlic, peppers, celery, onion, potatoes, tomato paste, bay leaf, and broth to crockpot. Cook on low 6 hours or until meat is tender. At the end take some of broth and mix with flour and water mixture, stir until blended add back into stew, cook until thickened. Add Basil and parsley. Season to taste with salt and pepper
