1 1/4 c crisco
4 1/2 c flour
3 eggs
1 c sugar
1/2 c milk
1 1/2 tbsp baking powder
1/6 c orange juice
1/2 tbsp vanilla
1/8 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tbsp almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together sugar and crisco, then mix in remaining wet ingredients. In separate bowl, mix remaining dry ingredients. Mix dry into wet. Shape into 3/4" to 1" balls (or other shapes; e.g. crescents, ovals, etc.). Bake at 350 for 10 - 12 minutes.

Glaze with mixture of powdered sugar and water with a little almond extract once cool.
