1/2 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
1 8-oz. can tomato sauce
2 beaten eggs
4 oz. diced cheese (1 cup)
1 c. soft bread crumbs (1 1/2 slices bread)
1 tsp. salt
Dash pepper
1/4 tsp. dried thyme, crushed
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 lb. ground pork
Directions:
Directions:
Cook onion and green pepper in boiling water till tender; drain. Stir in tomato sauce, eggs, cheese, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, and thyme. Add ground meats, mixing well. Shape into loaf in baking dish. Bake in 350º oven for 1 1/2 hours.
