1 c. uncooked Quick oats
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar, packed
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. cinnamon

Crunchy Coconut Topping
1/2 c. butter, melted
1 1/2 c. coconut
1/3 c. evaporated milk
3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. slivered almonds
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Add oats to boiling water; let stand 20 minutes. Cream together butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Fold in oats. Pour in 9x13 inch greased pan. Bake 350º for 45 minutes. Top with Crunchy Coconut Topping and broil until toasted an crunchy.

Crunchy Coconut Topping
Mix butter, sugar, coconut, and nuts. Stir in milk. Put on top of warm cake and broil under broiler until bubbly and toasted.
