3 cups sifted cake flour
3 t baking powder
1/2 t salt
1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
1 t vanilla
4 large eggs
1 cup of milk

Directions:
Directions:
Line the bottom of 3 round cake pans with wax paper, butter paper. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. In large bowl, cream butter, sugar, and vanilla in electric mixer for 10 minutes. Beat in eggs one at a time. Gently beat in flour mixture, alternating with milk, just until smooth. Begin and end with flour mix. Turn into prepared pans and bake at 350º for 30 to 35 minutes or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean. Turn out on wire rack. Remove paper, turn right side up and cool. Fill layers and frost as desired.
