"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

This recipe came from the Fletcher Flavors Cookbook that Jimmy got while in graduate school there at Tufts. It contains recipes from students from around the world.

If the dough is a little dry, use more yogurt. You can make half a batch. If so, use the entire egg. I've made half a batch and still was able to cut the dough into 8 small scones. Bake smaller cones about 12 -14 minutes. The whole recipe makes pretty big scones. I usually glaze them with a mixture of powdered sugar, cocoa, and a little milk. You can also sprinkle them with hot chocolate powder before baking. You can substitute raisins, nuts, or different flavored chips for the chocolate chips.
