Ingredients:
Ingredients:
4 lbs. fresh peaches
2 lbs. sugar
Brandy
Pretty jar containers

For long-term storage, use real canning jars and paraffin (canning wax)

Directions:
Directions:
Put peaches in enough water to cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Take out peaches and rub off skins. Slice peaches. Put a layer of peaches in a jar and cover with sugar. Continue layering the peaches and sugar until the jar is almost filled. Pour brandy into, cover, and seal tightly. If you are making a big batch and need long-term storage, use canning jars, follow instructions on paraffin box for melting, pour a little paraffin at the top of the filled jar and seal. When you buy a box of canning jars, the instructions for sealing the jars is on the box.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
I have done this for many years. Wonderful with ham, pork, poultry, a Christmas party, or just a family treat. Don't tell anybody, but I have even cheated with canned peaches using 1/2 juice, 1/2 brandy when really pressed for time. But for parties, do the real thing!
