2/3 cups of butter
1 cup brown sugar
4 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/2 -1 teaspoon of vanilla
16 oz package of chocolate chips
2/3 cups crunchy peanut butter

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the butter & brown sugar. Add in the oats, corn syrup, vanilla and salt. Stir thoroughly. Press firmly into a greased 9*13 baking pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes. Cool slightly. Melt the chocolate chips and peanut butter together. Spread on top of baked layer. Top with chopped nuts if desired. Refrigerate to harden and then cut into squares.
