2 c. flour
2 c. cornmeal
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. buttermilk
2 tbsp shortening (melted) (I use oil)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together and bake in well greased pan in a very hot oven, 425º for about 30 minutes or until golden brown and firm.

I cut this recipe in half to make smaller serving for 2-4 people. Great with chili or beans.
