2 cups water
1 can beef broth
Ground black pepper to taste
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon minced garlic
Ms. Dash to taste
Salt to taste
1 white onion
1 (.7 ounce) package dry Italian-style salad dressing mix
1 (5 pound) rump roast

Directions:
Directions:
Combine water, spices, broth, garlic, and salad dressing mix in a saucepan. Stir well, and bring to a boil. Dice white onion and add to mixture, boil for 3 minutes. Remove from heat, place roast into crock pot, pour mixture over the roast, cover and cook for approximately 4 to 5 hours on high, then an additional 5 hours on low. Shred meat with a fork and cook for an additional hour. Serve on hoagie rolls or hamburger buns.
