2 C sugar
2 C flour
1 stick butter
1/2 C salad oil
4 T cocoa
1 C water
1/2 C buttermilk
1 t vanilla
1 t salt
1 t soda
2 beaten eggs
1 t cinnamon
Icing:
1 stick butter
4 T cocoa
6 T milk
1 box Powdered sugar
1 t vanilla
1 c nuts (opp.)
Directions:
Directions:
Sift together sugar & flour. Set aside.
In a sauce pan melt to a light boil the butter, oil, cocoa, & water. Pour over sugar & flour & mix. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Pour into a 15 1/2" x 10 1/2' x 1" pan. Bake at 400º for 25 minutes.
Icing:
Heat butter, cocoa, and milk until hot, remove from heat add powdered sugar and vanilla. Ice cake and sprinkle with nuts if desired.
