1 cup nuts, put on bottom
sift 21/2 cups flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 3/4 cups sugar
add:
1/2 cup butter or shortening (1cup)
3/4 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp almond flavor
Directions:

Beat together for 2 minutes
add: 3 eggs + 1 egg yolk. Beat for 2 minutes.
Bake at 375 for 1 hour
