1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. wesson oil
5 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. nuts (pecans or walnuts)
1 c. prunes cooked and pitted
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp allspice
1 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Blend sugar and oil, add beaten eggs with milk and add to mixture. Sift all dry ingredients; adding alternately with nuts and prunes. Bake at 35- degrees until done

SAUCE:
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. butter
1/2 tsp soda
Boil all ingredients for 1 minute. Pour over cake which will loosen from the pan
