1 lg onion minced
3/4 lb mushrooms minced
2 tsp butter
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp black pepper
12 oz cream cheese softened (1-1/2 lg bricks)
1/2 tsp garlic minced
melted butter
1 loaf white or potato bread crusts removed

Directions:
Directions:
Mince onions and mushrooms in food processor separately. Heat butter in frying pan. Brown onion, add mushrooms and brown. Pour off any accumulated juice.
Put onions, mushrooms, salt, pepper, garlic back into processor and blend with cream cheese until smooth. set aside to cool.
Lay bread slices out on flat surface and roll flat with rolling pin. Spread with cooled cream cheese mixture. Roll bread slices and wrap in wax paper. Freeze.
May be made ahead of time to this point.
Remove from freezer and slice each log into 4-5 pieces while frozen. Dip in melted butter. Broil 5-6 minutes until lightly toasted and hot.
