1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. vinegar
1 tsp vanilla
5 Tbsp salad oil
1 cup of water
Directions:
Directions:
Mix together the flour, salt, cocoa, baking soda and sugar in a 9 by 12 baking pan until all is blended together. Make 3 holes in the dry ingredients and put vanilla in one hole, vinegar in one hole and vegetable oil in the last hole then pour 1 cup of water over everything and blend well. bake at 350º for 25 to 30 min.

From Susan: I loved making this cake as a kid - I had the recipe memorized because of the 3 holes you make to dump in your vanilla, vinegar and oil!
