1 c. ketchup
1 c. hot water
1 T. mustard
1 T. vinegar
2 T. brown sugar
1 lb. ground meat
1 small onion diced

Directions:

Brown ground meat and onion.

Add ketchup, hot water, mustard, vinegar and brown sugar. Stirring until well blended

Simmer 15 min.

This is the recipe I always used when my kids were growing up. A few years ago, my friend Deb Pawlick had served Sloppy Joes and they really tasted different than mine. I asked for her recipe and she said simple I use Manwich. Ever since then I have just used Manwich. Just in case you don't have any Manwich on hand and you want to make Sloppy Joes this is a handy, easy and pretty good substitute.
