2 cups butter
2 cups sugar
2 cups brown sugar
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 cups flour
5 cups oatmeal (grind/blend small amounts of the 5 cups of oatmeal in a blender until it turns to powder)
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoon baking soda
24 oz. bag of chocolate chips
1 finely grated 8 oz. Hershey bar (plain)
3 cups chopped nuts (any kind)

Directions:

Mix together all of the above except chips/chocolate and nuts. Add chips/chocolate and nuts. Place on cookie sheet (golf-ball size) prepared with baking spray and bake about 2" apart. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. DO NOT OVERBAKE.

This is the actual original recipe for Mrs. Fields' cookies. It was forwarded to me a few years ago from someone who paid $200 for the recipe. She was shocked when she contacted the company for the recipe and they charged her that amount, so she decided to make it available to anybody who wanted it. The secret is the "powderized" oatmeal.
