8 c. flour
2 T. baking powder
1 lb shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 T. salt
5 eggs
1 c. warm milk
1 cake yeast or 2 small packages
1 T. vanilla

Filling; 2 pound walnuts (ground fine)
1 pound brown sugar
1 can of evaporated milk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, baking powder, and salt then work together with shortening like pie dough. Next mix eggs, warm milk, and cake yeast. Mix this with the dry ingredients. Refrigerate for two hours. Roll out on sugar, not flour. Roll thin-cut into square pieces.
Prepare filling; mix walnuts,brown sugar and canned milk together to make a paste.
Spread onto squares; fold corner to corner; Place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 350º for about 10 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
