6 cubed steaks 1/2 to 1 onion
2 cans cream of mushroom soup (mixed with 1 can water)

Directions:

Dust steaks with flour and brown on both sides. Season with salt, pepper, and onion powder (if desired). Slice onion and cook with steaks. In a baking dish, layer the soup mixture, meat, and onions. For richer gravy, pour small amount of water onto the pan (after removing meat) while the pan is still hot. Mix the "drippings" with the rest of the soup mixture. Cover and bake at 325º for 1 1/2 to 2 hours until meat is tender. Serve with rice or potatoes.
