1 pound Ground Chuck for 4 patties
Sprinkle of onion powder to mimic the taste of fresh from the butcher meat that Grandpa brought home

Directions:
Directions:
1. Divide the meat into 4 portions.
2. Make it into a ball.
3. Flatten it out by hand into a thick rounded patty.
4. Heat the skillet hot and put in a small amount of oil. (Grandma used an iron skillet and used lard to grease the pan.)
5. Fry until browned on both sides and completely done. Don't cook the burgers hard or crisp.
6. Put the hot meat on the bun straight from the skillet.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
These became everyone's favorite at first bite. Grandpa brought home the fresh ground meat on Friday night and Grandma would cook it up as soon as he got home. As fast as she could cook the burgers up, someone would eat them. Everyone would gather at Grandma and Grandpa's for burger night - aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.
