1 cup flour
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
1 cup finely chopped pecans or hazelnuts
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
Powdered sugar, for rolling baked cookies in

Directions:
Directions:
1. In large bowl, combine all ingredients except powdered sugar. With hands, mix until thoroughly blended. Refrigerate 30 minutes.

2. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 375º. Using hands, roll dough into balls 1 1/4 inches in diameter. Place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

3. Bake 15 to 20 minutes, or until cookies are set but not brown. Let stand 1 minute before removing from cookie sheets. Remove to wire rack. Cool slightly.

4. Roll in powdered sugar while still warm; cool completely, then roll in powdered sugar again. Store in tightly covered container.
