Ingredients:  
1 1/2 c apricots (dried) chopped
1 c water
Bring to boil & simmer 10 min. or until absorbed. Cool.

2 1/2 c flour
3/4 c sugar
4 tsp BP
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp soda

Directions:
Directions:
Combine dry ingredients. Stir in 2/3 c chopped nuts.

Take cooled apricots & add 1 egg, 1 C buttermilk, 3 T melted shortening

Add to dry ingredients & stir only until moist.
Grease bottom only of loaf pan.
Bake 350º - 1 hr. Cool about 10 min. before removing from pan.
