FILLING:
32 caramels
5 T. milk

CRUST:
2/3 c. butter
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 t. salt
1/2 t. soda
1 c. flour
1 c. oatmeal

TOPPING:
1 c. chocolate chips
1/2 pecans, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Melt caramels and milk in top of a double boiler, and while doing so, mix the remaining ingredients together like pie crust and pat all but 3/4 cup in a 9" x 13" cake pan and bake 10 minutes at 350º. Remove from oven and spread the melted caramels on top. Sprinkle 1 cup chocolate chips and 1/2 cup chopped pecans, then top with the remaining crust mixture. Bake for 15 - 20 minutes more.
