Directions:
Filling: Cook 6 cups of apple mix. Cook all of the ingredients down thick.

Dough for cake:

Mix together the first 4 ingredients, alternate milk and flour with the dash of salt. You may need to add a little more flour to make the dough stiff.
Have 2 iron skillets (8 or 9 inch) greased and floured. Take a portion of dough on floured board, knead a few times till you can place it in skillet press with fingers til it covers bottom of pan. Bake at 350º till done. Don't let get brown.
Repeat til you have 7 or 8 layers. When the layers cool. Stack together with cooked apple mixture. (It is better if it sets a day or so)

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This dough can be used rolled out and cut for a good soft sugar cookie. An icing glaze makes them even better.

This recipe doesn't last more than 1 day at my house. This recipe was given to me by my good neighbor and friend, Mae Centers
